Time and Frequencies

Time

Only minutes are normally transmitted; the hour is added when ambiguous. A time check is given to the nearest minute, preceded by the word TIME. UTC is used. 2400 denotes midnight (end of day), 0000 the start of day.

Frequencies

Frequencies are identified using their SIX digits (25 kHz or 8.33 kHz spacing). Exception: if the last two digits are zero, only the first four are transmitted. The word "channel" is not used in radiotelephony.
